| February 24 | World Environment Photo Exhibition Executive Committee was registered by the Tokyo Metroportan Government as "NPO World Environment Photo Exhibition." | |
| July 3-11 | NPO World Environment Photo Exhibition, by itself for the first time, held an Exhibition at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. | |

| 2005 | June | Under a formal authorization by UNEP, the first volumes of the Japanese versions of UNEP's official magazines, Our Planet and TUNZA, were published. The two magazines are to be published quarterly, which amount to a total of eight issues per year. |
| July 29 | NPO World Environment Photo Exhibition changed its organization name to NPO Associates of the Earth. This change was certified by Tokyo Metropolitan Government. | |
